Mindfulness and Wellbeing

At CLAC, we understand that sending your child away on a residential course is a big decision. That’s why the wellbeing, safety and emotional care of every young person is at the centre of everything we do.

We aim to create an environment where children feel safe, supported and free to be themselves, a place where they can slow down, breathe, connect and grow in confidence.

Our team includes members who are professionally trained in mindfulness, yoga and breathwork. They intentionally create safe, caring spaces throughout the course, supporting students emotionally as well as academically and socially.

Our hope is that every child leaves CLAC not only with new skills and friendships, but also with practical tools to support their wellbeing, tools they can take with them into everyday life.

We support wellbeing throughout the course through:

  • Gentle yoga, mindfulness and breathing sessions that help students regulate emotions, reduce stress and feel grounded
  • Nature walks that encourage calm, connection to the natural world and time away from constant stimulation
  • Mindful art and creative sessions, offering space for self-expression.
  • Quiet workshops, helping students focus, reflect and build inner confidence
  • Limited and structured mobile phone use, encouraging presence, balance and meaningful social connection
  • Mobile-free mealtimes, creating a relaxed space for conversation, nourishment and community

”I want to thank all the staff for the care and attention given to my daughter…nothing is even remotely comparable to CLAC”.
