It is with great sadness that we share the news that William passed away very peacefully in the early hours of the morning on Tuesday, 16th February 2021 at Arthur Rank Hospice in Cambridge. He leaves behind a remarkable wife and three incredible children. Our thoughts are with his family at this very sad time.
With his kind and loving attitude, he brightened everyone’s life. His legacy will live on through his family, friends and loved ones. We will honour his memory by practising loving kindness just as he taught us.
In 2013 at the age of 35, William was diagnosed with colon cancer. During the following years he underwent many surgeries and rounds of chemotherapy. Disease progression advanced quickly towards the beginning of 2021. On the evening of the 5th February 2021, he was transferred to the Arthur Rank Hospice, just a mile away from where he lived with his family. The Hospice became a haven of peace and contemplation where all his needs were met by an outstanding compassionate and professional team, with the unconditional company of his loving wife Carolina and that of close loved ones.
We set this page to show our support to William’s young family and contribute to help steer them towards a brighter future. From the proceeds of every donation made, 10% will be donated to Arthur Rank Hospice in grateful thanks for everything they did for William and the family.
Private funeral due to Covid-19 restrictions will be held on Friday 26th February 2021. Instead of sending flowers, please contribute to this fundraising.
May the spirit of William inspire us all.
