Filmmaking Workshop

Double BAFTA winning filmmaker with experience working on projects in the USA, U.K., India, Pakistan and Europe will be teaching students ‘’Filmmaking’’ at CLAC in 2018. Oggi Tomic has created cinematic promotional films and documentaries for a diverse range of companies, including the BBC, Google, Al Jazeera, Buckingham Palace, Sony Europe and MTV.  His documentary “Finding Family” won international awards and opened the Sarajevo Film Festival in 2014.

Students will be guided to produce, film, direct and edit a short film or music video.  Working in small groups they will learn to use the very latest 4K broadcast cameras, lighting and microphone equipment and then to edit the film using television industry standard Adobe Premiere.

The completed film will be premiered to the other students at a special event. Below is an example of a short filmmaking project fully created by the students themselves during the fourth week at CLAC in 2017.
