CLAC provides an inclusive personal meet and greet service at GATWICK and HEATHROW airports on scheduled arrival and departure days between the following times:
ARRIVAL: 9.30am and 6.30pm
DEPARTURE: 11.30am and 6.30pm
For arrivals and departures outside these times or from another airport students will be charged individually at cost price to CLAC. (contact the CLAC office for details).
The safety of students and peace of mind of parents are CLAC’s top priority on arrival and departure days. Please book your child’s flights between the above times and make sure you have sent the TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS to the CLAC Office well in advance – info@www.clac.org.uk
PLEASE NOTE: Arrival and Departure day is on SUNDAY. Lessons begin on Monday morning.
ARRIVAL: CLAC staff will be at Gatwick and Heathrow airports to meet students between 9.30am and 6.30pm on course start dates. They will be wearing green CLAC tops and carrying a crocodile logo flag.
Children under 14 may require to be registered as an ‘Unaccompanied Minor’ (please check with the airline). Give the name ANNE GEORGE, CLAC DIRECTOR as the person meeting your child. Contact: +44 (0)7711167871.
All CLAC staff will carry a Letter of Authorisation signed by Anne George and will carry personal ID for security. In the unlikely event of a problem with our meeting service, students should go to the Information Desk and ask for CLAC staff to be called.
Please note it is the responsibility of parents to ensure that Unaccompanied Minors procedures have been followed, forms completed correctly and payment made to the airline prior to travel, both on arrival and departure dates. CLAC cannot take responsibility if this has not been done.
Students must NEVER leave the airport alone or with anyone other than CLAC staff.
DEPARTURE: It is necessary to allow 1 hour for the journey to Gatwick and 1.5 hours to Heathrow airports + 2 hours for check-in before any scheduled departure time.
We therefore ask parents not to book a return flight which leaves before 11.30am or later than 6.30pm. Charges may have to be made for transfers outside these times.
Please be aware that early flights will mean a very early start for your child.

Students being brought to the school by parents may arrive at any time after 2pm and before 6pm on the first Sunday of their course and must be collected before 11am on the final Sunday. Please inform the CLAC office of arrival and pick up times.
EUROSTAR
CLAC students must be 16 years or over to use this service alone and must have their parents’ permission. They will need to make their own way from London St Pancras to Heathrow airport by train to meet up with our transfer service. This requires travel across London. We do not recommend this method of transport for CLAC students.
TRAIN
The nearest train stations to Old Buckenham Hall are at Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket (20 mins by car/taxi). Bury St Edmunds is on a direct line from Cambridge and Stowmarket from London Liverpool Street station.
