Great Ballard summer English experience for 8-13 year olds

Course Overview

Our course at Great Ballard is a language immersion experience with 100 hours of English each week, ultimate All Inclusive core programme, outstanding welfare and British students for natural language exchange.

Great Ballard is situated in the village of Eartham, which is just five minutes from our other course at Slindon College. The school is set in 10 hectares of enclosed parkland with extensive grounds suitable for a variety of sports and games.

Small classes (maximum 14 students), attentive care from a high ratio of staff to students (minimum 1:4), and personalised care from the onsite Housemother, all mean students have the highest levels of care, with correspondingly high rates of student satisfaction.  Over 70% of students return the following year, proof of the special experience only available at Great Ballard.

We have decades of experience and understand that all students learn at a different pace.
CLAC classes are arranged by ability to make sure that students of a similar level of English
are placed together.

Our classes follow the CLAC syllabus and our teachers make classes fun
and challenging. Students say that they finish their course feeling more confident

Activity Programme

The Activity Programme provides an opportunity for students to relax, meet up with their friends and practise their English through fun activities. Every afternoon after classes there are sports, excursions and events that make the most of what CLAC and the surrounding area have to offer.

In the evenings the Activity Team arranges games, tournaments, parties, quiz nights, discos, movies and shows so that there is always something for students to do.

Typical Day

The CLAC day starts with a meeting so students know what is happening throughout the day.  There are then interactive English classes all morning until lunchtime. In the afternoon students choose from the many activities, sports, games and local trips on offer.

Evenings are for big events, famous CLAC games, parties, campfires and amazing activities that involve the whole course.
