The success of the courses is to be seen in the high number of children who return year after year to meet old friends and make new ones. Friendships are made quickly and all students enjoy the family feeling of getting to know everyone on the course. Students share bedrooms with children of a similar age but different nationality so that English is the common language.
Students studying French, German or Spanish are placed with a student who speaks the language they are studying. This helps natural language exchange and encourages students to meet others from different nationalities and learn about different cultures. Students may only be together at CLAC for a couple of weeks but friendships are made that last a lifetime. Everyone uses the motto, "Once a Clacker, always a Clacker!"
